Running the Mainspring Watch Magazine is our founder's full-time job. We chose to focus on supporting micro and independent watch brands because most media outlets (online magazines, YouTube channels, Instagram accounts) mainly focus on well-established and luxurious brands. The brands we, at Mainspring, like to write about are generally new, launching their very first collection on Kickstarter, or  too small to have a subsequent marketing budget. 

 

We further chose to not have any ads or sell merchandise so that you can focus on the content. A part of what you see is supported by the brands themselves, however, a large part of what we do isn't. So we would very much appreciate it if you would consider making a small (or not so small) donation to support our work, mainly: writing about new brands that get started; writing in-depth profile stories on collectors, brand owners, and influencers; as well as opinion-based articles on our fascinating world that is horology.
